Welcome skiers and boarders!  Today's a great day to be on the mountain.  We've received two inches of snow so far this morning, and snow showers and flurries are expected to continue until this afternoon!  High temperatures today will be around 27 degrees and lows tonight around 16 degrees.  Snowmaking is currently in progress, and will continue throughout the day.

Today is a Snow Day for the students and teachers of the following counties: Ashe, Avery, Carter, Johnson, Mitchell, and Watauga!  Don't forget to bring your valid proof of residency in order to receive your Snow Day discount.

The outdoor ice rink is open today from 10am to 10pm.  The last session starts at 8:00.

Tubing is closed today for snowmaking; it will reopen tomorrow morning at 10am.
 
This Saturday, January 10th, the 14th Annual National Winter Trails Day comes back to Sugar Mountain Resort.  The event offers children and adults new to snow sports the chance to experience a complimentary snowshoe guided tour.

Tuesday, January 13, 2009, Sugar Mountain hosts its annual Septuagenarian Party. You must be 70 or older to participate!  If you qualify, call us for details at 1-800-SUGAR MT.
